With new buffer tracks, Kato further expands the world of Kato Unitrack system. It is a familiar buffer stop used for side track in a station where trains move slowly or for track for short trains in local sections. It is seen sometimes with a sleeper laid for buffer just before the bent rails or the end part of the proper track connecting to the buffer track fully covered with ballast.

● Kato will make new buffer tracks with signal light lit on as #20-613 and #20-614.
● These are the items which you just have to connect to other track to use. Only when the power is supplied to the track connected with them the buffer tracks lights are turned on. If you therefore use these buffer tracks for a diorama with many siding tracks and for indwelling lines extending from a turntable you can see which tracks are now supplied with power. When you run a train at night these lit buffer tracks make it easy to see the end of track while making good accents on the diorama.
