Oxford 87PC54005 1954 Pontiac Chieftain 4 Door Shannon Green/Brookmere Green HO Scale

In real life, Pontiac launched the Chieftain in 1954 when it was available as a four-door sedan (saloon), sedan coupé, business coupé and de luxe convertible coupé. Each came with eight engine size options and a choice of manual or automatic gearbox. It was also an appealing shape, not as bulbous as the 1940s shapes, so definitely had more style.

Our 1:87 scale replica has adopted the four-door sedan styling and makes its fifth appearance registered HN 178 from Utah in 1954. Its pale green body has a slightly darker but equally bright roof and even the interior seating is moulded in a refreshing light green, with the dashboard and steering wheel taking on the same colour as the roof. External chrome trim extends from window surrounds, door handles and headlight surrounds to bumpers, wheel trim, badging and a chrome contoured stripe along the sides of the body.  An interesting chrome addition comprises five strips which run from the front to the rear of the bonnet.
